About the Journal

Innsbruck OPEN Proceedings

Aims and Scope

The Innsbruck OPEN Proceedings are a multidisciplinary Diamond Open Access publication series of the University of Innsbruck. Guided by the principle that science is a public good, we provide a platform for the publication of peer-reviewed conference proceedings, workshops, and scientific symposia.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between lively academic discourse and enduring, citable scientific communication. We promote international visibility and knowledge transfer within the scientific community while simultaneously facilitating access to current research findings for the broader public. By combining rigorous quality assurance with contemporary digital publishing, the Innsbruck OPEN Proceedings ensure that research—ranging from the natural sciences and engineering to the humanities—reaches a global audience without any barriers.

Key Features

  • Diamond Open Access: No publication fees for authors (APCs) and no costs for readers. This underscores the University of Innsbruck's profound commitment to Open Science and the active dismantling of financial barriers in global academia.
  • Regional Roots, International Reach: Firmly anchored in the heart of the Alps, our series hosts international academic conferences and connects Tyrolean research hubs with the global discourse.
  • Strict Quality Assurance: In accordance with the university's high publication standards, every submission undergoes a fair and rigorous peer-review process by experts.
  • Technical Excellence & Digital Preservation: Each contribution is assigned a persistent identifier (DOI) and is fully integrated with ORCID. Through our connection to the infrastructure of the University and State Library of Tyrol (ULBT), we guarantee maximum discoverability and indexing.
